Sigma Rho survives off of the generosity of our Alumni and friends. The categories below provide insight into those areas where your financial donations are put to use. Your support insures that current and future members will have the same fulfilling experiences you had while an Active Sig or friend of Sigma Rho Fraternity. Donations are accepted from anyone so we can build for the future with projects such as this website. For your convenience, both credit cards and checks can be processed online or you can send a check by mail. Our most pressing issue is a Weatherproofing of the current house. This includes a much needed new boiler. See details in upper right.
To learn more about the financial gift levels (Gold, Silver, Platinum, etc), our current donation totals, and the donors list just click Donation Statistics in the upper right.For those registered and use the EP Forum we will insert the appropriate donation level icon next to your name in all your forum posts. You'll also be recognized in the EP Contact List and the donation goal thermometer page of the EP Forum.
House and Grounds
This fund was established to maintain the facilities of Sigma Rho and covers a variety of items from property upkeep, new appliances, fixtures, fire and safety codes, house improvements, and more. Immediate initiative is to replace the boiler and valve system. This fund also covers emergencies such as winter snow removal. Just click the Donate Now button and select House and Grounds from the drop down menu on the payment screen. Thank you for all your help.
Best Use Of Funds
This fund allows the Board of Control to use your donation for the most pressing matters and in the best judgment of your fellow brothers. Just select Best Use of Funds from the Drop Down menu on the payment screen. Thank you for all your help.
Membership Recruitment
This fund is established to benefit Chapter recruitment efforts. This includes but is not limited to materials for promoting events, the events themselves, recruitment specialists, and more. Just select Membership Recruitment from the Drop Down menu on the payment screen. Thank you for all your help.
Academic Achievement Scholarship
This is available to all undergraduate and active members of Sigma Rho who meet the criteria outlined in the scholarship's charter and award criteria. This is awarded to the two most improved GPA’s ($500 & $250) and the highest GPA ($500) of active members. Just select Academic Achievement from the Drop Down menu on the payment screen. Donor Driven Accounts
At Sigma Rho, one size does not fit all! Maybe you did not see a category or fund that you felt met your donating requirements? Maybe you would like to give to something else not specified. Maybe you have an idea for creating something new? We want to hear your thoughts and appreciate your interest. Please contact Mark A. Rogalski, Norb Verville, or Pete Smith and we'll work together to tailor something that meets your philanthropic goals.
Donating by Credit Card or Check:
Simple click on the "Donate Now" button in any one of the categories above. This directs you to our secure area for credit card processing. It's managed entirely by our technology partner Blackbaud who specializes in non-profit organizations. This area was specifically designed for Sigma Rho donors and allows you to select a category of use, your donation frequency such as one-time or monthly, send us a personal note, and more. Your CC statement will of course display Sigma Rho. You can also pay by check using a Virtual Checking Account Transaction. Just click on the "Donate Now" button and enter your check information in the appropriate section.
Donating by Mail:
We can also accept checks online. See above. Online checks (commonly called eChecks) are the equivalent of standard paper checks. However, there's no need to send us your paper check in the mail or your signature. To process online, all that's needed is the information on the face of the check intended for Sigma Rho.
