Below are the more common questions regarding access and the Sigma Rho member information contained in the EP Map and EP Contact List.
How do I get started?
1. First-time users will click here to register.
2. Create your desired user name and fill in the other required details in the form. Try to make your username something members will easily recognize. It appears whenever you post a comment or upload pictures.
3. Click the “Complete Registration” button at the bottom. Once you are verified by EP Forum staff as a member of Sigma Rho, you will receive an email. This approval notification includes your login information and a short overview of the EP Forum and EP Contact List.
How do I access the information once inside the EP Forum?
1. Once inside the EP Forum just click on the “Alumni Locator” tab at the top of the page. This will display a Google map overlaid with the locations of all Sigs around the world. You can use this interactive map to see who lives in your area. Just click on the colored pushpin to see contact information.
2. To access the text based EP Contact List just click above the map the “EP Contact List” button. This takes you to the complete contact information of all the members of Sigma Rho.
3. The map and list are the same data - pulling information from the same database.
How do I update my Contact information?
1. After approval, validate your current information on file. Just login and click on the Alumni Locator tab at the top. Click on the EP Contact List button in the upper left. Enter your last name in the search box and click “Find Alumni” button or just hit your Enter key.
2. Review your information. If you would like to update any info just click the “Update My Info” button in the upper right corner. Select the Update My Contact Info box, enter your changes, and click the Submit button.
3. Although we sometimes collect additional information such as birth date, pledge class name, employer, etc. this information is never displayed in the EP Forum or EP Contact List. It’s for internal use.
Who has access to this information?
Only those registered EP Forum members of Sigma Rho which includes Active Members, Alumni, and Board of Control (INC). No outside sources have access to your information.
Do I need to be a member of Sigma Rho to access the EP Contact List?
Yes, due to the private nature of our discussions and the personal contact info of our members you must be a member of Sigma Rho to access any part of the EP Forum or EP Contact List.
How can I manage the information I want displayed or hidden?
We can certainly manage this for you. If for some reason you don’t want your location displayed on the EP Map or contact information displayed in the EP Contact List we can make those edits for you. Just let us know what information you want hidden or removed. Just click on Update My Info button in the upper right and supply us your details. (Please keep in mind that the more information provided, the more useful this resource has become for members trying to reconnect, our communications, and networking).
Will my personal information be accessible to unauthorized users?
Maintaining the privacy of your information is our top priority. The Sigma Rho Forum Administrator team has taken great measures to safeguard access to the EP Forum and your personal information by granting access only to Sigs. There are several technical security measures and also a stringent validation process of Sigs. Also, only members of Sigma Rho via their own password-protected login can access any areas of the EP Forum containing this private information.
I don't have/forgot my User ID - How do I log in?
If you are a First-Time User, see the “How Do I Get Started” question above. To access our automated User ID retrieval system please click here. You can also click the "Forgotten Your Password" link at the bottom right of the Login page.
When will my updates to EP Contact List or EP Map information take effect?
In most cases, all changes to your personal information are updated the same day. It will never take longer than 48 hours.
What are the lines (strikethrough) over the member’s address in the EP Contact List?
These represent members who we know have a bad mailing address, those whose mail gets returned. We also have designations for deceased members, donation level, Chapter, and more.
What are the capabilities of the search and sort tools?
There is a standard, simple search that allows you to search an individual’s first name, last name, PIN #, etc. You do not need to know the correct spelling. For instance, to find Phenorke you could just enter Phen in the search box for last name. It will display every last name with those 4 letters. However, the Advanced Search allows you to filter by Chapter. Just click the “Alpha Chapter” button and proceed with your search. Only Sigs from the Alpha Chapter will display. You can also sort by Graduation year, PIN #, City, State, etc.
What if I do not want my information to display?
You can hide all of your personal information if you choose. However, we will probably be contacted by other brothers that we’ve missed you from our contact list. We might also get individual request for your info.
Can I download a complete list of all Alumni or contacts at one time?
No. Due to Privacy Policy restrictions, we only allow you to view data via the website pages. We burned all the Excel spreadsheets at a triumphant party celebrating our forward progress out of the dark ages. This is an added security measure. If you have a special need please let us know. We will work something out the best we can.
Do I need special computer equipment to use the Directory or update my information?
No. This system only requires Web access and a browser. In fact you can view, update, or search the Directory from anywhere you have Web access.
